Mechanism of Action
CGRP binds to the CGRP receptor complex (calcitonin receptor-like receptor CLR + RAMP1), activating Gαs → adenylyl cyclase → cAMP → PKA pathway. Causes vasodilation, nociception, and neurogenic inflammation.
