Clinical Applications
FDA-approved as Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes (2022) and Zepbound for obesity (2023). SURPASS trials showed HbA1c reductions of 2.0-2.6%. SURMOUNT-1 demonstrated 22.5% weight loss at highest dose.
Dosing
- Available doses: 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15 mg
- Dosing: Once weekly subcutaneous
- Starting dose: 2.5 mg for 4 weeks
