peptide-interactions peptide oligopeptide
Overview
Vasopressin → V2R is a bioactive peptide with well-characterized properties and therapeutic applications.
Mechanism of Action
AVP binds V2R (class A GPCR) on renal collecting duct cells, activating Gαs → adenylyl cyclase → cAMP → PKA pathway. Triggers AQP2 water channel insertion into apical membrane, increasing water reabsorption.
